Individual Therapy

  • CPT is the primary service offered at Bella Health.

CPT is a highly effective treatment for many kinds of trauma including childhood abuse, sexual assault, combat and more.

Treatment focuses on teaching clients how to get “unstuck” with thoughts about their trauma by learning to identify, challenge, and modify unhelpful trauma-related beliefs.

CPT is typically 12 sessions and can be done weekly or intensive (multiple times a week)

  • PE is another gold standard treatment for PTSD and teaches clients to gradually approach trauma-related memories, feelings and situations that they have been avoiding since the trauma. Research has shown that confronting the things you have learned to avoid can result in a decrease in PTSD symptoms. PE is usually 12 sessions.

  • EMDR has clients briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Length of treatment varies.

  • Similar to PE, WET has clients confront memories they’d normally avoid but from a “distanced” approach. WET is a brief 5-session therapy that helps clients discover new ways to think about and make meaning of their trauma. Through writing exercises and talking about the writing experience clients learn to experience and tolerate the trauma memory with less emotional distress.

  • Like CPT, CBT also focuses on the exploring the way we think about ourselves, others, and the world and helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful and inaccurate beliefs using a straightforward 5 step process. This treatment offers more emphasis on psycho-education and also incorporates action-planning and self-regulation skills. CBT is typically 8-16 sessions. This can be a good alternative to CPT for young adults, individuals struggling with more than one significant mental health condition and or when the primary issue is something other than PTSD (e.g. Generalized Anxiety, Major Depression, etc)

  • This is an option if you are unsure about starting trauma therapy or the timing isn’t right but would like to understand more about trauma reactions and learn some quick and effective skills to help manage symptoms in 2-5 session.

  • Behavioral Activation (BA) is a CBT intervention that can be a standalone therapy or part of a larger treatment plan and is useful for individuals suffering from depression, anxiety and trauma related issues. Bella Health uses BA after trauma processing therapy is finished to help foster post traumatic growth. BA is typically 6-8 sessions.

  • Bella Health’s concierge model offers discreet, highly personalized support for high performers, public figures, or anyone seeking a more private experience. With extended access to your clinician, flexible scheduling, and trauma-specific, evidence-based care, you’ll receive expert support without the limitations of traditional therapy.

  • Bella Health offers intensive therapy options for many modalities or mixed modalities. Intensive trauma therapy allows you to dive deep into your work with extended sessions- often 90 minute sessions and or therapy multiple days a week- designed for more rapid relief in a shorter period of time. Intensives are ideal for clients with limited availability, those seeking more immediate relief, or anyone looking for a structured and impactful alternative to weekly therapy. All treatment is customized to your goals and pace.
